About FAIFE Book Club
The FAIFE Book Club is an international, online discussion group for fans of intellectual freedom. We encourage participants to share their thoughts, ask questions, and learn from others around the world! The FAIFE Book Club was created in 2011 and is sponsored by the Committee on Freedom of Access to Information and Freedom of Expression of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA FAIFE).
The FAIFE Book Club invites organizations around the world to join us as partners! Find out more about becoming a FAIFE Book Club Participating Organization.
In addition to this site, hosted by the ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom, participants are invited to join the FAIFE Book Club email list and follow @FAIFE_Book_Club on Twitter.

The current book:
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is a seminal piece of literature, set in a future in which literature is burned as a matter of course. When one “fireman” – who sets fires rather than putting them out – starts to question the rules, his life will never be the same.
Past books:
Even after a new book has been selected, we encourage participants old and new to continue the discussion on our past book pages! See below for links.
The Net Delusion by Evgeny Morozov (2011)
The FAIFE Book Club website is sponsored by the American Library Association‘s Office for Intellectual Freedom.
